Get ready to ride wild through the forests and trails of the Sapphire Coast! The opening of Gravity Eden Mountain Bike Park marks a new era for mountain biking on the Sapphire Coast with a brand-new 58-kilometres of world-class mountain bike trails for riders to explore.
Eden's new gravity trails add to the existing 55km Tathra MTB trail network, meaning you can now explore more than 110km of mountain bike trails on the Sapphire Coast. From mountain bike hire to guided tours, we've got everything you need for the ultimate mountain biking adventure.
Opened in November 2023, Gravity Eden has been one of the most hotly anticipated new riding destinations in the country. The machine-built trails have been constructed by trail building specialists Contour Works, who have worked on some of Australia’s most iconic trail destinations like Derby, St Helens and Mount Buller.
The trails are located in Nullica State Forest, just a few minutes by car from
Eden. The network features over 300-metres of vertical elevation which allows for some awesome flow descents exploring epic terrain with granite features, jump tracks and mellow rainforest trails. The trails are divided into three zones which have been designed to safely progress your skills: Gravity, Flow and Adventure.
The main trailhead is located at the bottom of the trails and features car parking, toilets, shuttle services, signage, a dirt jump park and asphalt pump track. The impressive jump park features three line options with timber ramps and is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders. The pump track is perfect for those looking to develop their mountain biking skills, and even features night lighting so that you can head there for some after-dinner laps.
To reach the top of the Gravity Zone trails you can take the 10-kilometre leg-burner ‘Power Up’, organise a car shuffle or car drop-off (there is limited parking at Bimmil Fire Trail), or utilise a shuttle service – Sapphire Coast Shuttles and Eden Shuttles are both excellent options.
For all things mountain bike, Eden’s new bike shop Ride Creative Lines Bike Store is the go-to destination for bike hire, retail and servicing. What’s more, they have opened their own coffee and food van ‘Hone’, serving tasty coffee and food with mountain bikers in mind (open on weekends). Find Ride Creative Lines Bike Store at 35 Flinders St, Eden.

Tathra
is the original home of mountain biking on the Sapphire Coast with more than 50km
of some of the finest hand-built trails imaginable, in a community that loves the sport. Hidden away in the coastal bush above the beautiful town of Tathra, the network has a peak elevation of 137m and over 40+ singletrack trails to explore.
The network has been built by scratch thanks to a small group of committed and passionate riders over the last 15 or so years, and the trails remain a source of pride for our local community. Having been built by hand, these trails are raw and at times rugged, making for an epic cross-country riding adventure. There are descents, climbs, technical trails and meandering singletrack, with lots of options for various skill levels. The network comprises of two main sections, the Bundadung trails and the Fire Shed trails.
The main trailhead is located only metres from the beach, providing the ideal ride-swim scenario. Plus great coffee, food and beers all located a stone’s throw away. For mountain bike hire, servicing and retail, head to Tathra Beach and Bike, conveniently located on the beachfront (Andy Poole Drive). Navigate Expeditions offers mountain bike tours in Tathra, as well as mountain bike hire and delivery.
Tathra is also home to the legendary Tathra Mountain Bike Festival, held each year over the June long weekend.

In Tathra, the Yili-njili pathway (3.2km) leads between Tathra and Kalaru, whilst the Mogareeka pathway (2.5km) runs adjacent to Tathra Beach to the mouth of the Bega River. You can extend this ride by linking with the 3km Fords Walking Track (shared walking and cycling trail) through stunning Mimosa Rocks National Park.
Heading south, the Merimbula to Pambula pathway extends 10km between the two towns, and there is the option of riding all the way to Pambula Beach for an even longer ride. The route mostly follows a paved shared path but includes small sections of normal footpath and on-road bike path.
