Giiyong Festival

Giiyong Festival is a multi-art form festival for the whole family, celebrating traditional and contemporary Aboriginal culture through dance, art, music, film, food, presentations and workshops.

Giiyong Festival is the only event of its type held within the Yuin Nation, which stretches from the Shoalhaven River down into East Gippsland in Victoria and across to the Great Dividing Range.

Everyone is welcome to this celebration of Aboriginal culture - traditional and contemporary. Get hands-on and completely immersed in Culture.

Giiyong (pronounced Guy-Yong) means ‘come to welcome’ in the South Coast language as spoken by the Elders.

Giiyong Festival is bringing together some of the region and the nation's finest Aboriginal musicians, performers, dancers, writers and presenters to share their culture and their stories with the entire community.

No pets allowed. Certified assistance dogs are welcome. No camping. No drugs, No alcohol.

Giiyong Festival is presented by Twofold Aboriginal Corporation, Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council and South East Arts.
