Tathra Beach Eco Camp

Camp among the gums and kangaroos, literally across the road from the beach at Tathra Beach Eco Camp. Slow down and rejuvenate in their open green spaces, dedicated nature areas like their bush tucker garden and dedicated kangaroo resting zone, and their stylishly designed eco-inspired accommodation for all types of campers (and glampers). 

They provide an amazing range of camping options including powered and unpowered camp and caravan sites, super spacious bellbird and driftwood tents, cute and comfy gumnut pods, and cosy banksia cabins. Their tents and cabins include special touches like reading nooks, outdoor decks and quality linens, and guests are invited to enjoy the communal campfire for marshmallow-toasting under the stars.

HOTEL AUSTRALASIA

This grand old dame has long been an icon of Eden’s main street and has finally opened its historic doors once again! Built in 1904, this impressive heritage building has welcomed travellers for more than 100 years and was saved from demolition in 2019 when a local builder purchased the property. Since then, the hotel has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation to restore the hotel to its former glory. 

Their eight new boutique hotel rooms offer old-world luxury and elegance with claw footed bathtubs, 100-year-old metal pressed ceilings and ocean and mountain views. You can dine at the on-site restaurant, bar and bistro, showcasing the impressive local produce from our local farmers and fisherfolk, complemented by delicious brews and cocktails. Not to mention, the hotel’s central location makes exploring Eden and its stunning nature and national parks a breeze. 

Sugar Rock Ranch

Howdy, travellers! Sugar Rock Ranch is a rustic new stay in Eden, combining the best of a relaxed country getaway with proximity to Eden's spectacular beaches, national parks, walking trails and amazing heritage. Their ‘Barn Studio’ cabin was built by hand over 30 years ago with timber felled and milled on the property, set on 30 acres of land surrounded by forest. Opening it up to guests is the first step towards their bigger dreams of rewilding the property and creating a wilderness ranch.

Within its timber walls you’ll find everything you need and nothing you don’t. There’s no Netflix here, but you will make far more memorable moments playing cards, delving into a good book from the cabin library, spinning vinyl on the record player or rolling a Yahtzee. Spend early evenings by the private fire pit or sit by the jetty at the ranch dam as forest song welcomes the night. 

THE HOMESTEAD

Brought to you by the same team who brought us the magical Lottes Hjem (check it out here), The Homestead offers timeless heritage with a modern touch in the heart of our dairy capital, Bega. Described as Lotte’s slightly more sophisticated older sister, The Homestead will delight you with its beautiful styling and perfect harmony of country and luxury.

The Homestead has stood in Bega for more than 150 years, and although from the outside she looks like a newly restored cottage, inside she is so much. From the tea leaves to the kettle to the teaspoon, heart and mind have been given to every last detail at The Homestead. Soak in the quartz bath, cook until your heart’s content in the chef-worthy kitchen, or sip wine on the deck at sunset as the chooks meander among the rose gardens. Count us in.

Kangarutha Farm

Step into the bushland surrounds of Kangarutha Farm in Tathra, set among the forests of Bournda National Park. Kangarutha Farm offers limited camping sites at their beautiful forested property just 5 minute’s drive from Tathra. They only allow a small number of camping and glamping sites on their huge acreage which means you can truly immerse yourself in the natural environment and enjoy camping the way it should be – away from the crowds! 

They have a range of unpowered camping sites which include camping by the dam, bush camp sites, paddock camping, as well as a bellbird glamping site. Explore the property’s network of forest trails by foot or bike, one of which leads you to the property’s tranquil Hidden Lake. Further afield, you can connect directly to the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and Tathra’s mountain bike trails, as well as the spectacular Kangarutha walking track. Or…simply light the campfire, sit back and relax!

TOAD HALL

If these walls could talk! Historic Toad Hall has been a part of Pambula’s identity since 1860 when it was built as a Telegraph Office for the tiny growing town, then serving as a saddlery, gift shop, and most recently a treasure-filled trove of antiques called ‘Mervs’. Toad Hall has now been transformed into a boutique heritage stay where guests can soak up the undeniable charm of Pambula. 

Still dressed up in its original apricot weatherboards and bull nose veranda, Toad Hall’s interior reveals a chic take on its heritage beginnings. Cosy up by the open fireplace whilst you enjoy modern creature comforts (hello, Netflix) and furnishings. This unique stay is a wonderful base for exploring Pambula’s glorious surrounds.

ROCK LILY BED & BREAKFAST

Stay in a beautiful mud-brick cottage surrounded by the pristine Wadbilliga wilderness! Rock Lily is a cosy bush retreat located on a 100-acre bush block near Brogo, a relatively unknown pocket of paradise on the Sapphire Coast. The environment on Rock Lily is mostly remnant endangered Brogo Vine Forest, where the rock lilies grow wild!

If you’re looking to truly “get away from it all”, then Rock Lily is an ideal stay for you. Breathe in the forest air and enjoy mountain views towards the northern Wadbilliga ranges.
