THE BEGA CUP

29-30 JANUARY 2022

BEGA CUP's HUGE WEEK OF RACING

Join us for the Bega Cup, where country racing meets pristine coast. On Jan 29th & 30th 2022, the Sapphire Coast plays host to the Bega Cup, a huge weekend of racing at the beautiful Sapphire Coast Turf Club with over half a million dollars of prize money on offer, over two full days.

As well as the coastal culture, the Bega Cup features top horses and jockeys from all over the state, Fashions on the Field, Saturday night Calcutta, reserved seating packages and free buses to and from the track to the neighbouring towns of Bega, Tathra, Eden, Pambula, Merimbula and Tura Beach.

Things to do while you're not at the track

PICK A FAVOURITE ON THE OYSTER TRAIL

The Sapphire Coast is home to some of the best oysters in Australia with millions harvested from our 5 pristine estuaries each year. Enjoy them in our local eateries, visit the oyster growers at their "farm gates" or travel the oyster trail to savour it all.

TRAVEL OUR OYSTER TRAIL

AROUND THE OUTSIDE

After all that colour, movement and roaring crowds at the track, why not take some time to immerse yourself in nature. Zoom down a twisting mountain bike trail, find your dream beach, secret fishing spot and perfect wave. Or pick a path for a self-guided day trip in a national park.

ADVENTURE IN NATURE

EAT AND DRINK LIKE A CHAMPION

Savour the southern in unique dining settings like an ocean-view aquarium restaurant, a heritage cottage in historic Pambula, a famous hotel overlooking the ocean and a working oyster farm with some of the most pure and delicious oysters in Australia. Or indulge in some fresh fish and chips at the beach as the sun goes down.
