fishing, thanks to the close continental shelf & flow of warm southern currents. Charter boats operate deep sea, dive & game fishing trips with decades of local knowledge. Bermagui has its own small commercial fishing fleet to reap the bounty of the abundant seafood, with

WALLAGA LAKE
Wallaga Lake is home of Umbarra, the black duck – totem of the Yuin-Monaro people. Merrimans Island is a sacred place and can only be visited by Aboriginal people. Wallaga Lake is a paddlers & boater’s dream overlooked by Gulaga (Mount Dromedary) and Biamanga Mountain (Mumbulla).
Black swans in all their presence gather their young, and so it is with the birds, more than 200 species have been identified in the national park fronting the western side of the lake and the foothills of Gulaga and beyond.
As the largest lake in southern NSW, there is swimming, fishing, sailing, boating, water skiing, and prawning in season. Camping, boat hire, picnic and toilet facilities are available. The fishing is fabulous and the serenity of these natural surroundings offers a perfect place for a sail or swim with
accommodation surrounding the water’s edge.
CAMEL ROCK
Camel Rock is an ancient rock formation, comprised of folded 470 million year old turbidite beds that were created by underwater avalanches 450 million years ago. When viewed from its southern side, you can see exactly why it got its name!
HORSE HEAD ROCK
A mecca for photographers,
Horse Head Rock is believed to be approximately 500 million years old and is among the oldest rocks in NSW. Its sheer size and the unspoilt location is breathtaking.
MURUNNA POINT
Murunna Point is a significant Aboriginal place, with views to Gulaga (Mt Dromedary) and Wallaga Lake as it opens to the sea. Take the
1.5km Camel Rock to Murunna Point walking track, with spectacular coastal views.
